Honey
Honey is a high-energy carbohydrate natural food produced by honey bees from the nectar of flowers. It can be many different flavors, colors and aromas depending on the type of flower from which the bees collect the nectar. Honey contains several sugars (fructose, glucose, sucrose, etc.), acids (gluconic), enzymes, proteins, vitamins, plant pigments, antibiotic agents and an array of minerals. Eating honey has healthy advantages. It is metabolized by the body at a much faster rate than white sugar and because of the natural antibiotic agents present in honey it can help stop the bacteria in the mouth from using sugar to erode tooth enamel.

Because of its natural anti-bacterial qualities honey is also useful as a wound healer. Honey is one of the purest foods generally free of harmful pesticides or residue chemicals simply because of the "law of gross tonnage"--the tiny bees would be affected by the harmful chemicals and perish before their honey could be deposited.
